Hmmmm check your ecu for loose wires ... It happned to my all trac it would turn on but would smoke a lot and wouldn't rev normal until I pulled out one of the plugs off the ecu it's self and it ran normal and then I looked at the plug I pulled out and it had a hidden cut wire I re connected it back into the plug plugged it back in the ecu and everything was normal again

will that happen if the catalitic is clogged i mean i has a new cat back we already took out the computer and check and it still did the same thing. my dad knows everything about corollas its all he use to drive and fix when we lived in puerto rico and even he doesnt know do u guys think it could be the speed sensor because when i put in drive the spedo says in going 30 when in like going five

Shouldn't be the cat, if the cat was clogged you get the same symptoms regardless of gear cuz it would keep the engine from breathing. I'm thinking tranny or sensors with the speedo going all whack. When you put i into gear and open the throttle does it shut down shortly after?

its the rpms go way done and it just starts dying me and my dad are going to try the speed sensor it must be one of the sensors on the tranny i fell the intake sucking in air in park when i put it in drive the intake stops aking the sucking noise when i push the gas

Dam then it could be the speed sensor but you would think it would do it always ... Maybe also you can check shifter cables and throttle cable when it's in drive compared to parked
If not buy a new speed sensor but I'm sure it would throw you a code ... Go to autozone ask them to borrow the computer an take it home real quick and check it

Your trans is going out bro. Mine did the same thing about two months ago and I ended up having to get a new one. It wouldn't move at all while the car was cold but would crank up and idle perfect. I'd have to wait until the motor got warm to even attempt to drive it. Sorry to hear this bro but you need a new trans.

First check your shift selector cable where it hooks to the front of the transmission. There you will also find the neutral safety switch. It needs to be checked just to make sure that when you select the gear, it is in the proper range. One way to test it is with your foot on the brake, key on, put the car in another gear, (driive or reverse). Attemp to start car. If the car starts, then the neutral safety switch needs readjustment,
But I'm afraid it's either differentiual going out or transmission. Have you checked the fluid level and does it have a burnt smell by any chance?
