Update-12/08/12
Whats listed below is whats going in my 7th gen.
Updated-12/08/12
Soo ive actually been collecting parts for the past 3 years and just started to actually put it all together about 3 months ago. A lot of trial and error!!! I started with a dream and gathered all my idea's and went to town lol. There is a whole story behind all this, I'll try to make it short lol The first build I was trying to do was a 4afe with 4agze internals. I bought all the 4agze internals(stock bore size 81mm) and rods. I didn’t know much about what I was doing and tried to use my stock 4afe crank. Nope that doesn’t work rod journals are 20mm. So I had to find a 4agze crank which is hard to come by. I ended up with a 20v blacktop crank. I had the motor at a shop and they were gunna assemble it for me and told me all the bearing size I needed, I ordered them and they were all wrong! I then picked my motor up from them cause they had no idea what they were doing. I wont mention their name cause I know they do good work just not on my motor. I ended up going to RPM in Tampa and they did my head and currently working on my block. I am assembling the motor myself.

Now all this is just a vision I have. I have learned a lot not knowing people that do Corolla’s lol I’m not done cause everything I need is a lot, I’m not trying to buy junk to put in for it to just break. Ive waited this long and will wait how ever long I need to, to finish it the right way.
I found myself doing things twice and having to backwards. For instance, I painted my engine bay then did the wire tuck lol totally backwards but when I started this I never once thought of doing a wire tuck. Then the pistons were the wrong size cause the block had to be bored and 4agze pistons that are over sized are like $500. I bought the wrong head gasket. Just stupid shit cause I didn’t do the measurements and jumped the gun and found myself going backwards. Don’t do what I did lol
Here are a few pictures of what I have done…
Please no negative comments my work isn’t perfect everything I did myself and learned through trial and error.
My car as it sits now
Fresh head
Shaved valve cover not done yetJ Im doin a custom paint job on it but waiting for some stuff to come in the mail.
My transmission stock just painted lol
Before I painted the engine bay
Primer
Paint
Note the catch can is not going to stay there
Wire Tuck, not done and not a full wire tuck again this is my first time doing anything like this
I relocated the fuse boxes to the wheel well and the battery to the trunk. All I did was go to the junk yard and pulled two wiring harnesses and use those to extend the wires.
Soldered all the wires
Wiring the Apexi SAFC II- Note Apexi’s diagram didn’t match my ecu had a huge issue with it.
Apexi’s diagram shows a 12p connector well mine was a 22p

Now you can't see around the Apexi SAFCII it was bugging me. Not sure if you can tell what I'm talking about lol
I think it looks like crap but it will not look like this later. Just time and money money.
20V block oil squirters and ARP Hardware.
SOO fresh lol
ARP Mains and oil squiters
BlackTop Flywheel and ACT 4Puck clutch

Be sure your build is super fresh!
I did a dry install then removed and reinstalled the crankshaft with assembly lube.
I'm like a kid at the xmas tree opening presents lol
Be sure to use all necessary lubricants for your build.
ARP:)
Keep it fresh. Dirt and dust are bad lol
TOGA HV oil pump
Pistons are next to install, I ran out of time.
I have more pictures. I’m mainly wait for key parts that can get me running:)
Thanks for checking this out again my first time doing all this Im not a pro. No negative comments please.
As few pictures as of 9/18/12
Please note that there is a temporary valve cover and stock spark plug wires are installed so the paint job does not get messed up while installing the parts and putting in the motor in the car when the time comes around.
Also in one of the pictures you can see a white valve cover, that is a new paint job I'm currently working on. I plan on selling my new one I paint once it gets finished;)
Ugly ass alternator!
Motor is in and its getting towed to get the downpipe and exhaust welded. Car has power and once this last step is done it'll be time to start it for the first time. Still waiting for some decals to come in so I can finish painting the valve cover that's why its still white(not staying like that).
This valve cover is going to be the one I'll be using on my motor.
