Alright so been slacking off with ccc since I started a new job which is a good distance, doing alot side jobs, and buying a house with my girl, however haven't quit on toyota yet. Decided to get rid of the MR2 since it was too much gas, plus it was my daily driver. I needed something normal, something with a/c, and something with lower miles where all I have to worry about is gas and oil changes for now. I'm out of the game as far as turbo, engine modifying, racing, etc. I wanted to enter the world of "stance/flush". Been with CCC for 8 yrs now since the age of 16 with the following cars/motors in order.
-4afe 96 Corolla Autotragic
-1994 -4age 20v blktop 5spd Corolla
-1997 4age Blktop 6spd LSD Corolla
-1991 Toyota MR2 3sgte Turbo 5spd LSD
and now, my decision was hard, was planning on buying like a 2005 solara like coolmonkeys to have really low miles since I didn't want to makes payments on an ft86 due to the new place, and was negotiating on a lexus is300, and 3 other gs300's. With all 3 car models, they all led to the same thing=automatic. I've always been told automatics were for girls, and to me their just boring, so i just had to get stick shift, came accross a 2002 2zz 6spd celica gts and couldn't let it off my hands.
Pro's-lows miles, amazingly smooth engine n gearbox, a/c, my favorite gts bodystyle, h.i.d's,already lowered, kid never stepped on it(he shitted bricks when I stepped on it to test the vvtLIFTi)
-Cons-horribly ripped seats(all) as if a bear was let loose in there, from half of car to the rooftop paint is fade, powersteering fluid leaking, foglights not turning on,sunroof not opening. and worst of all, has always been serviced by a mechanic(meaning cheap oil changes with tiny oil filters)
Comparing n Contrasting, lets just say i lowballed the kid and made him feel like shit pointing out every scratch i could and emailing him prices, and 2 days later for $4,700 it was mine.
For the cons, as soon as i washed the car it started looking better, as soon as i brazilian waxed the car twice with Carunuba Wax(free by me), both my father and I were left shocked out how the whole half of the car that was faded came back to life. Seems like the kid never washed it. Did fresh oil change and was shocked how big oil filter i brought from autozone was compared to the ones those jiffylube places had on the car(done by me). 1 foglight seems to have a burned bulb, the other just had it's connections loose(I love Hondas). Powesteering leak i'll look into it this weekend, and as far as interior, going to see which is cheaper/better choice. either swapping out seats with used ones, goign to an upholestry place to get them releathered(maybe a tan color like the supras), or getting those nice ass red leather honda s2000 seats. In the end, I'm very happy with how smooth and quiet the car is and for the price I ended up stealing it for.
After Car wash(notice the top and the hood how it's faded) n polishing the yellow headlights
started waxing the paint back to life, notice the half thats just been washed, n the other half thats been waxed
After a couples hours of waxing and taking my time with it, and CCC tatted up
the interior where the bear was let loose
