DIY Making Your Own Front Bumper Corolla 93 - 97

this started out as a 93-97 corolla stock bumper , and a 94-97 accord "r34" front bumper.

its a cut , paste , bonda , paint affair.













ill post more progress pics the further along we get , as far as step by step instructions , i cant give all my secrets away!!!

here some pics , i got to make the lip now , the current lip that was on the r34 bumper was cracked on the drivers side , so i gotta make one custom ,. these pics dont really do it justice , especially on my car as a test fit , because of the contrast of my white bumper behind it , and makes it look like it doesnt fit. but anyway , i figured id show you guys some progress pcs.

i filed down all the rivets , and also filed down any uneven fiberglass joints. i got a lot of hand sanding in front of me , brandon dont know it yet but hes gonna join the fun this weekend.

heres some pics , the right side is what it looks like raw unsanded polyester resin.

the left side is only poly resin , rough sanded smooth with a shot of filler primer , so i can see imperfections to bondo , and spot glaze.




like i said this only rough sanded poly resin , no bondo , or final sanding yet.

i got the bottom lip started , dont look like much now because i havnt trimmed it , molded it , or put the vent in.

any way the resins on , i had to lay a coat of primer to see my low spots , and wear i need to fill with the bondo , and smooth out. but heres some peepers , dont bust a nut b.








as you can see in the photos though the places i need to blend. like below and around the bottom vent , and around the main intercooler opening.

anyway , here ya go , i worked on it for about 2 hours today , doing some strengthening on the back side , and other minor things . . . . . . is the side pulled in enough for ya b? hope so , thats all i can do.






keep in mind the wheel well part is still to be sanded. ill either sand it or lay some resin on the other side tomarrow night , depends on the weather.

i keep telling this fool my grill looks better with the skyline bumper than the "C" grille.
