well its been a while since i updated this, not sure if i ever mentioned, but i picked up a 2jz with 80k for 250, and it included a spare 7m harness and 7m ecu, the 7m ecu will plug up to a 2jz, now i got the non VVTI, and my 2jz has toyota logos not lexus, same shit tho, 7mgte is already dropped in, just little things needs to be put on but im just trying to hear it crank first before adding the rest. my only problem now is the ecu is not turning on, i had this same problem 2-3 years ago, but the situation now is even worse, having a short some where that is not letting the ecu turn on and interior fuse keeps popping, checked the cluster, windows and dash, but all the wires are fine, i jumpped the ecu to get direct 12v and nothing still, no spark or fuse, i gotta check the resistors and couple connectors and ohms from engine harness to ecu side, but i did find a interior and engine harness from a running 88 turbo, guy is asking 250 shipped which ill be getting soon, car cranks over and every thing, and has good grounds

well its been a while, supra runs, turbo sounds soo sexy spooling, but of course head gasket issues, its not sealing properly, yes motor has been machined, titan motor sport head gasket 2.0MM thick, torque to spec and in order, soo gonna check it again. other than that, motor sounds great, no knocking or ticking didnt really take much for pics but this is what i got for now

I was wondering which oil did you use for break-in and how did you treat the motor during break-in.

i just use cheap 5w30, im still breaking in the motor lol, that video was just one day of pushing it hard, only has 50 miles into it, doesnt smoke or nothing, but usually i dont rev it high, and when im on the high way, i down shift the gears when im taking a exit and let the motor slow me down, my delsol when i got the motor running, that car i had to beat the shit out of it, just so the piston rings can seal, at first it was smoking really bad so i redlined it to every gear, and then it stopped
as for breaking in, there a site that tells you how, and u gotta keep changing the oil, right now i have to change it again

Yea, I've seen the website and read on different forums ways people broke-in their motors. I was just wondering how you did yours since it looks like its running good. Thanks for the info.

well been a long time since i updated this, i gotta pull the motor back out for the 4th time, 1st time was cracking 2 pistons, and swap the 2 pistons out, then got a rod knock, crank was fine, just came to find out bearings went bad due to arp lube clogging up the oil galley in the crank holes, so i got that fixed and then i guess my cam position sensor advanced it self on the timing(bolt wasnt tighten) and felt super amount of power and cracked another piston, so now i gotta pull the motor back out, and replace all the pistons. come to find out the pistons i got are cheapy junk, so i got some oem pistons, cause i just have aftermarket but oem design not factory which i will be putting back in since they can take abuse any time. also installed my upgraded ct-26 turbo which is a 57 trim, lexus AFM, and evo 8 injectors, also have my AEM wideband and now just need the safc to do the tune.
