The paint is nasty to be honest right now I am wet sanding the hood to see how it turns out. Never did it so wanted to test it out to see how it turns out. The front lip is actually a 1989 or so ford ranger front lip that I cut to size wish it was a treno, I still need to paint. I sanded it down and primer it but never got to painting didn't have a can to do it with. Came out pretty good but left a few swirls that I need to buff out still but the hold looks a 1000x better then before. Now the hood is like a new clear coat. Going to go over it a bit more to get it perfect before I do any other parts, wife said she wants me to try her car next. My car was re painted at one time very cheaply, it was red but now its this tan ish color. But with wet sanding/ buffing the car will look like new I was amazed at how good the how looked after a few mins of work.

^ do you have a da sander or some type of orbital sander ?? if so id wet sand with 2000 then hit it with 3000 wet da it makes buffing way way easier

its pretty easy the part thats iffy is the buffing. Buffing its self isnt hard at all you just have to make sure you dont stay still for to long cuz the buffer will burn right through the paint, that and you do not and i repeat do not buff on edges jaja

Man ive been lost, nice updates on your car.
I highly recommend that you hand wetsand instead of machine and do it 1 panel at a time then buff with a multi speed machine so you have control over the surface, too much speed burns through and to slow wont work
How man coats of clear you have and how much orange peal determines what number sand paper you can start with.
Im always available man let me know.
