it's been less than 5minutes with a/c in my red car thats runs a 20v and it feels amaziiiiiiing. Since I'm using this car as a daily driver i decided to install the a/c and remove the power steering and all the lines. The instalation is pretty simple and the 2 modifciations u need to do for this project arn't so difficult.I'm not going to go to much into detail since you can see by pics, i would just recomend have another corolla around you to make it simple knowing where to run the lines::
youll have to remove your bumper to make space and get those long lines in there, make sure you buy the 3doller assortment of green o-rings from the autoparts store.
OKAY SO HERE IT GOES, THE 2 MODIFICATIONS U NEED TO DO, IS THAT THE LINE RUNNING FROM YOUR CONDENSOR TO THE COMPRESSOR, YOU HAVE TO TRY TO BEND IT BY SLIGHTLY HAMMERING IT AND BENDING SLOWLY SINCE ITS VERY EASY TO BREAK IT, THE REASON WHY IS THAT THE JDM COMPRESSOR HAS DIFFERENT INLETS FROM THE US ONE, SO THE LINES WONT LINE UP, AS WELL AS IT'LL TOUCH THE HEADERS AND YOU DONT WANT THAT.final look after getting the lines bended right
now for the COMPRESSOR,MAKE SURE ITS IN GOOD CONDITION, both compressors for 20v's i had were both seized from sitting around so long, the compressor that comes with these motors are a DENSO TV12C, which i researched comes in the 93-95tercel/paseos that comes with the 1.5L. However when you try to replace it at the autoparts they still charge 380 already returning your old one, ridiculous. I personally preffered having it rebuilt, but the only place was down in miami, luckily my friends dad knew a guy here in broward who only charged me 120. I should of done this in the begining, since it started smoking when i first did it.
now that i removed the power steering pump(shit weighs more than 20lbs) i had to try to find a perfect belt that would fit it since you can't use the normal belt, when stretching it together i measured it to be 17inches long

heres the 2nd modification, since you can't twist the line enough to make the bolt hole to line up, just leave it the way it fits and fabricate a bracket for that pressure line to hold it down , than youll be able to have enough to hold it down
slap that belt on
connect your electrical wires up, i had an issue where i wasn't getting any power so I had to rewire some wires
and walaa, make sure everything is tightened, that none of ur a/c lines are touching the headers or the belts and take it to your local shop to get it vacuumed out for moisture and leaks, and to add oil and charge up the lines w/ freon, they'll also add dye to the system so you can check it within a couple days to see if you have any leak since the smallest one can be found with dye. You'll normally get charged near 70-80 for that
