this is a repost from another site i'm on. Just thought that maybe someone else could use the info here. so i am replacing my cooling system. already picked up the AL radiator, new universal metal flex radiator hoses, and 2 12 inch fans. just need a new coolant overflow tank. but i can find any cheaper than 50$ so i figured i would make my own. using stuff i had laying around the shop. going to make a step by step if anyone else wants to make there own. this is what i wanted but don't want to pay so much for. here are all the parts. Just some 3in pvc pluming parts (cap and reducer) some brass 1/4 fittings. PCV cache (for lid) clear hose and clamps first thing i did was cut a 2in length piece out of some 3in pipe then i primer and glued the cap cut off and reducer glue the cap to one end of the 3in pipe (the 2in cut off) then the reducer then i cut a 1in length 2in diameter pipe to go into the top of the reducer drilled a hole and placed a brass fitting to run a hose from the radiator to the tank used 2 90 bends and 2 female adapters to make the side meter tube this is everything set up. still got to glue the side meter on and bondo over the lip in the middle then painted and clear coated it the finished product did a water test no leaks and the meter on the side works perfect

I like that set of ideas! I will possibly do the first one, just a lil longer and thinnner tube. As for the HUSKY one...would you just get the adapters and screw em in and then clamp the hoses down?
Sorry to ask a dumb question juts having a hard time putting it in my head....
