Yeah there was someone on TN who had JUST put on a JDM bumper right before he crashed into a pole smack center. Totalled just because the bar wasn't there.

yea also that other guy who has the thread with the blacktop swap. he hit a pole or something too a while back. the front of the car literally wrapped around the pole. i just dont understand toyta sometimes..i mean..dont honda civics with their short noses have some sort of crash bar or something?

The safety standards overseas was pretty low back in the 90s for some reason. Guess it was for manufacturing costs. But I wonder if a crash bar from a Geo Prizm is smaller than the Corollas. I might just have to take the crash bar to a shop and have them shorten it. Or shorten the area where it mounts to.

i just have to say this, especially for those in school...... after looking at my fees for school(even though they are covered)..they are ridiculous..i mean comeon..an "athletic fee" but they already charge a fee for the gym?.......its little things like this....that make me super anxious to finish school.

Thanks Chiko, I'll play around with that at the junkyard when I get the chance.
And Jaime, I feel you man. Fees are getting higher every single semester for me. I just want to be done and start a real life. Just feels like we've been at school for way too long. Besides... I can learn everything on youtube! ;D But seriously, the price they put on education nowadays is just inhumane. And the economy's condition is just stirring up even more greed.

lol I get a mix feeling of admiration and pity when I see adults 40 and up in my classes.
And I know we should be grateful that we even get an education, but it's still not an excuse for the corruption, wasted tax dollars, and terrible management within the system.

Tried out the Tercel/Paseo crash bar today. The Tercel and Paseo have the same crash bar except the Paseo has some sort of extra reinforcement in the front. Their crash bar won't fit for the BZ bumper. It's just too tall for the BZ. It's perfect width wise though. The only other car that I can think of that would have a tiny crash bar would be the Geo Metro. I'll try that next week.

If anyone hits a pole you can total it lol
I think its more about the arms that stick out then the bumper going across you can cut

Yeah I might have to go custom. I know it's gonna cost me way too much though. But till then, I'll keep searching the junkyards since they're only about $30.
And going across is not a problem, it's the height of the crash bar that has to be the right size to sit inside the bumper.
Is anyone else here running a crash bar on their JDM bumpers?
