Ok! so right now im in a bit of a small jam..nothing too big but if anyone could help me it would be appreciated(600 views and ni response is really annoying btw) ...i have jdm rear disc for the ae101...however i didnt get rotors sent with them due to 1. weight and 2. they are usually unuseable due t rus n stuff...so while im waiting on my brembo rotors to arrive, i need to put these on this weekend due to me being off....Does anyone know of an cross compatible rotors that ca be used? someone had to know..i doubt these are some "special" size that no other american car has...a celica maybe? GIVE ME SOMETHIN!

I'd personally just wait until your Brembos arrive as buying more discs in the meantime is counter productive. It will only take about 3-hours all up at the most to fit the knuckles/hubs/discs/calipers, handbrake cables and bleed the brakes, so it's easily something you could do on a day off or a weekend when your discs arrive While you wait, I'd recommend trying to loosen the large bolt going through your existing knuckle on each side. These are usually a right pain to get out as they rust/seize in place, so if you can 'break' them free so they come out nice and easy when you're ready to install the set-up it'll save you a lot of time. DO NOT use a normal hammer to whack the threaded end of the bolt however. Use a brass/copper hammer as it won't damage the end of the thread no matter how hard you whack it.

thanks scott!! yea i guess youre right. i think im just under estimating how much time i may actually have. i dont normally have weekends off and the days i am i do martial arts and some more stuff. ugh! well still, just for general knowledge would you happen to know any? i figured since i can get the brake pads from a celica there may be some sort of match for rotors in some sort of model. i think it would still be good to know

They were from an AE101 Toyota Levin GT Apex. A lot different to the AE92 rear disc set-up. These ones are a direct bolt on to all AE101/AE102 Corollas with no mods needed. Original disc size is 266mm in diameter and 9mm thick. 54.1mm center bore. Most Celicas are 5x100 not 4x100 like the Corolla so be careful when buying other discs.

Yea ae92 are different setup but I think the rotors and pads should be the same Ohh, yes the pads and rotors are likely the same. As long as they're 266mm in diameter and 9mm thick it'll be fine as the stud pattern and center bore size is the same as the AE101

That's the process I had to go through to get your ones out . On another set I removed a while ago I was whacking the end of the bolt with a hammer and I ended up flattening the threads so the bolt would no longer fit through the knuckle and I had to hacksaw the end off . Then when I had to do mine I used a copper hammer and even though it took some extremely hard whacks to free it up, it came out without damaging the end of the bolt (can't say the same for the end of the copper hammer though, lol). Have you loosened the bolts on both sides?

yup! i did. so that way after this rain passes i can get righto nir(assuming the parts from autozone will fit right) either way when i do install i figured the hardes part would be the cables...that looks like its gonna be blast to do . any tips are appreciated lol.

Doing the handbrake cables is suprisingly easy. Disconnect one side at a time so you know exactly which path it takes and it's simply a case of slipping your old cables out and popping the new cables in. You'll have to remove the center exhaust heatshield but there's enough room between the shield and the exhaust piping to get a spanner in (a ratcheting spanner comes in really handy). Be sure to release the handbrake prior to removing/installing the cables or you'll never get them out, lol.
