I'm going to change the tranny fluid on my car, I figure since I'm going to do it I might as well do it right, so I plan on droping the pan and replacing the transmission filter and the gasket, probably going to buy some royal purple or mobile 1 ATF... is there anything I should be aware of? or careful with? havent done a trans fluid change for a while, any tips u guys can give me I'll appretiate..

Just make sure you ask the people at the parts store how many quarts you need ... a FULL drain takes alot but sometimes if you a NOT FULL drain will only take 2 quarts .... The last time I did mine I used one LUCAS transmission with my regular Dex/Mer ... But sometimes its cheaper to have those guys do it for you at the lube places cause they use a machine and suck all the fluid out ... You personally wont cause you have to suck the fluid out of the torque converter .. Draining or taking the pan off is only what your emptying ;D
