If your engine contains this part it is important you change it out 30000 miles. The PCV valve allows gases inside the crankcase to circulate back to the motor. After a while the mechanism inside becomes worn and eventually stop circulating gases from the crankcase back to the motor. Result of that will lead to excessive blowby in the oil and increased crankcase pressure which leads to leaky valve cover gasket. In my case at 75000 miles I never changed it till recently good thing I did then replaced the valve cover gasket a week later to ensure this doesnt happen again. The car runs smoother now since changing the PCV valve. It is an $8 part from the dealership, so change it if you haven't.

nice job, they dont sell it at a local part store? i know that one is metal, some are plastic.
also i read a long time ago that it can also blow the main seals and cams as well if there is too much pressure

I'm sure they do but ppl at the auto store didnt know wth pcv was Rather go to the dealer get a metal one

it wasnt clogged just gunk stuck on there over time just the spring inside was worn so valve no worky no more
