I'ts been a while, but I installed a new clutch master cyl. but on the rod that connects the pedal to master cyl. is adjustable. Lately the clutch has been not feeling good, I tried adjusting it turned it one way and the pedal is engaging the clutch high. Does anyone know what the adjusting is suppose to do and where should it be?

really that just adjusting the slack on the pedal if you take all the slack out of the pedal it will engage high i prefer to have a little slack on my pedals it engages some what in the middle

Did you bleed the line after installing the rod?

How do you adjust it so that it engages in the middle like you said??

well if you look at the little fork (C) that attaches to the pedal with a pin you will see that the push rod (D) has about 2inches of threads on it ..now if you have the little fork that attaches to the pedal all the way out to end of that push rod then you have NO free play on that pedal (see regardless of where you adjust your pedal the clutch master engages in the same spot every time) but the less free play you have on your pedal the more your foot will travel pushing that rod in further then it has to, SOO... with that said ..if you screw the attaching fork in so that your pedal has free play your actually adjusting how far that push rod go's into the master) so with free play it will only go in as much as it needs too, (to engage) therefore your foot will travel less distance making it feel like its engaging either somewhere in the middle or closer to the floor depending on how much free play you give the pedal ( you might have to do it a couple of times because you can over adjust in some cars) meaning u could adjust it to far down or to far up

Thanks for the info, that's what I thought it was suppose to do. Yeah that's what I did was adjust it one way and it was too high, so last night I adjusted it back a little and it was better....so more or less it's what you like as far as pedal feel............
