So to make a long story short, I'm putting a turbo on my 04 rolla. Along with that I'm doing a auto to 6 speed conversion. Yes that's right, auto to 6 speed. I have everything I need minus the cv axles, clutch, and tranny. My issue is that which cv axles do I need? Naturally you say the 6 speeds. Well I Work at partshouse, and I have access to photos and dimensions of all the axles. What I've found is that the auto and 5 speed all use a solid shaft. The 6 speed uses a intermediate shaft with support bearing. That one being 2 cm longer or so. Now I did so more research and it seems the later blocks have the mounting points for the support bearing. So I guess my question is, what's my course of action? I don't know of anyone whos done this big of a mod to ask questions. Any thought big or small will help, it's more then what I have.
Thanks Thor.

sounds like you would need to use the intermediate shaft and modify the other half. but first thing is get the other parts that you know you will need.

Are you using the C60 or E153?

I'm going with the c60 with the lower final output of 3.941. And in the future, it will have a dog box. Car won't be much on the road.

I have and in fact, I've just finished talking to some guys from a celica forum and they told me that the 1zz 5 speed axles will work on the 2zz 6 speed. So at the moment, my question seems to be answered.
When it comes time to put everything together, I'll do a write up for everyone. I'm sure there's someone wanting to know how and what they need to do what I'm doing.
