So reading today as spiked my interest in going from a auto transmission to a 5 speed. Nearing my completion of my turbo I really want to junk a auto and get a 5 speed but have not done a conversion on a transmission before. What all is need to do this swap? Wiring or mounts or cv axles? And any important detail would be a plus

I moved this thread cause the information gained will benefit all motor types. You need: 5speed transmission Flywheel Clutch Pressure plate Clutch Master Cylinder Slave Cylinder 5speed Shifter cables Shifter assembly 5speed brake pedal arm (you don't need the entire bracket) Clutch pedal assembly brake lines (hard steel / rubber ) 5speed motor mounts (if they are different) 5speed axles (if they are different) shifter boot assembly (interior part ) you do not need the 5speed ecu but you will need to rewire the shift selector and hook up the reverse switch. scary how simple it is right ;D

brake lines, motor mounts and axles are the same. Also you don't have to get the 5spd brake pedal, you can cut the auto one. If you do get the 5spd brake pedal, make sure you swap the switch on the brake pedal assemblies.
