OK thanks. I got a 93 corolla with a 4a something. I was told that the sprinter from japan only has the 4afe. I need to make sure what motor I have. Is it the 4afe or 4age. Please help. I was better with the Toyota trucks.

well i mean most likely its still a 4afe engine. unless your cam cover and timing belt cover reveals two cam sprockets. just google it, 4afe and 4age you will see pictures and instantly see which one you have

ok thanks. so i found some pics and mine looks like the 4afe. So i can use the red 7afe injectors in my car? What did the red 7afe injectors come in and how will they perform in my car compared the my stocks. Is there a bigger throttle body i can use that will fit and what car would it come on. One more question. Whats the most hp i can get out of my little 4afe without turbo or super charging it. Thanks guys for ur help. i want to put some pics of my car up but have a hard time getting them on here.

I'm notice about the difference between the stock 4afe injects and 7afe I would look thy up too but I don't think there will be much of a cc difference since they are basiclly the same engine just different stroke rating. Umm as far as n/a I would say if unplan to add bigger injectors and bigger throttle you will most likely need something to tune the air fuel ratios out. If not u might have idle problems due to rich conditions. You can get your cam re grinder for a better cam profile. I would also recommend advancing your distributor timing to advance a bit. It definitely helps. Give more throttle response just make sure u don't go too far and cause ping. Other than that you will need to change head gasket for that of a 7afe since its thinner it will bump up your compression also some 20v pistons will help with compression as well. Umm not too sure what else for this engine tho. They don't have a lot of aftermarket support. You can always get a cold air intake and some better exhaust system

ok thanks. I forgot to mention that i do have a cold air intake and header 4-2-1 with 2 1/4 inch pipe and a y into dual exhaust. And i advanced the timing at the smog shop.It was odd that at the correct timing mark i had shit for power. like if a 1600cc bug rolled up he would kick my butt like i was sitting still. I have NGK plugs and the MSD plug wires. So pretty much i have to have custom parts made for my 4afe to make any good power. I have a hard time getting traction in my car to.I want to convert my rear drums to rotors. What toyota would bolt up to my 93 rolla? Thanks for all everyones help. As soon as i have spare money in gonna order the club stickers.

Nice. Keep doing your homework and make this 4A be smarty. I heard about 94-99 Toyota Celica's rear brakes to fit corollas but not sure.

Your going to run rich with the 7afe injectors. I know cause I have them on my 4afe don't be surprised if you only put down 100hp I put down 88hp with intake header exhaust and 7afe injectors. But I do have an older version of the 4afe.
