ive always heard issues with these working on usdm corollas....any truth to that? Well the wiring is a PIA, and the mirrors don't reflect correctly for LHD.

ive always heard issues with these working on usdm corollas....any truth to that? It's rather tricky wiring cuz the control is on the opposite side and it's set up for RHD. Patience is all you need

No offense guys but i don't see how any of this should be an issue. The wiring or the fact the mirrors reflect funny all sounds like hogwash. What is the little box under the switch for Scott? My car already has power mirrors so are these not plug and play?

LOL hogwash, yes it is a minor issue, but it helps for the customers to be well informed of your product

My car already has power mirrors so are these not plug and play? That's the relay box . It won't be plug-and-play into your existing relay or wiring, but since you have power mirrors already you won't have to do much work in order to get the power folding function working. LOL hogwash, yes it is a minor issue, but it helps for the customers to be well informed of your product Thanks for the info Chris. Out of the 12 sets of mirrors I've sold so far I've never received any feedback about the mirrors reflecting differently, hence why I never mentioned it . Since the glass is power adjustable up/down/left/right I'd imagine that any issues with the way it reflects could be solved by adjusting the position of the glass.

I'd just hate for you to have to deal with a bad customer one day. Maybe you could sit in your passenger side and try to adjust the mirrors as if you were driving there. Then you'd realize what I'm talking about lol ;D Apparently, the glass doesn't move enough, plus at least here, the mirrors have different focal points to make up for the different distance from the driver's eye. Our right mirrors say "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear".

I think the lens are removable, so it shouldn't be difficult to swap the RHD ones for the LHD ones. I guess that still wouldn't help if the glass doesn't move enough...

Jesuel can tell you about the wiring nightmares lol. I saw it in person.
I tried to mess with my mirror once. I got it popped out, but I wasn't able to pop it back in all the way.

The only reason i had issues is because I'm converting from manual mirrors to power and power folding. I'm tapping into power source, feeding wires behind the center console, through the door loom, and making it all look some sort of stock without any wire showing. Finding a wiring diagram was a little difficult, but Kiwi found one for me, I'll post it up here. Still don't have them functioning yet but they are installed. I will get back to them some day. Its a long day of patience. But all in all, you know what you want. The power folding is a way i want to go so all of the headaches don't phase me.
