Hey CCC world, selling an turbo mr2 project which I never got to finish. Brought this car 2 years ago to be exact from Cape Coral, Fl. Car was a blown motor and was lucky to get it for a good price and rebuild the motor completely with new pistons, new rings, got the head redone from machine shop, etc, etc, so I wouldn't be able to really tell how many miles it has. Anyways been driving it since and loving it. Most of what I've done to the car has been motor, I never got to add those deep staggered rims to get that stance out of the car. Make a long story short, I drive from Margate to Boca to work everyday, I don't have time for the car anymore and rather just invest in something newer. The car has alot of potential, it's rear wheel drive, fun to drift around, and considered an exotic car which it's VALUE doesn't drop. I looked up on kelly blue book and was shocked that a plain stock mr2 turbo is worth more than 4k plain stock. If you look at the other mr2's on craigslist you'll find many people asking alot of $ over 4k for it, I'm letting mine go for cheaper since it does have it's flaws and I really don't have time for the car anymore. I reccomend the car for anyone mechanically inclined who can flip this car.
off the top of my head:
91 mr2 with t3 turbo, has a full blitz exhaust system(over $900) with aftermarket downpipe, hks ssqv bov, aftermarket hot pipe, replaced most couplers with turbo couplings and turbo clamps for less boost leak, turbonetics deltagate wastegate. Interior stock adjustable bucket seats (which driver side does have a rip on).
-Cons- Since I brought the car from a ricer kid, he molded the front bodykit to the fenders, also molded the headlights which I ended customizing the black palstic cover over the headlights so that it wouldn't look wack. Since it's aftermarket headlights, I was planning on installing foglights with H.i.D.s to have a stronger light output. When I originally brought the car, sicne kid had ran over an item on the road, the condenser was damaged and ended rusting, so I did take it off and never brought another one, so it doesn't have a/c. Ebay shows them for $50. Passenger side window doesn't go down, only driver side or you can take off the T-tops. Does have drops of rain sometimes leak when it rains hard. Normal issues with mr2's is that the cluster goes out, so water temp/rpm/speedometer don't work. For that reason is why I installed after market gauges like water temp, oil pressure, boost gauges. From there the car runs great, it's not crazy fast since I've never really tuned it, I mainly brought it for cheap to rebuild the motor and get it running, didn't intend it for racing.
I'm being completely honest with everything about this car, for that reason again is why instead of charging close to 5k for a boosted mr2 im letting it go for 3,800 OR BEST OFFER. Money talks, I'm not afraid to negotiate and lower the price if we have to, like I mentioned I have no use for the car sitting around, or just on the weekends, I just rather use the money for just getting a motorcycle for my weekends or a downpayment on something newer then the vehicles I already have.
--------------------------You can call, but preferably TEXT since I work in offices where it's difficult to answer phone calls. I'm in no hurry to sell the car, but like I said I am serious about accepting best offers, so if money is there I'll let it go to first person with cash. 9548063340.
