I have had my 17" XXR 006 wheels since 2008 and I have been looking to change them for a long long time now. With seeing all these new kids on the block with crazy offsets and stretched tires. I debated long and hard if I should go with this look. To be honest; I'm not a huge fan; and honestly, I'm pretty sure like most fads; this one will come and go. Plus I feel like this has more negative effects than positive when it comes to performance and wear and tear. So recently, I finally sold them and now I'm on the search for something much lighter. To be honest my mind is already kind of made up. But I wanted to get everyone's opinion and thoughts. These will have a slight stretch and not too crazy offset My first choice are RPF1's 15" x 8" +28 with 195/50/15. Here's a pic of what they look like:

If your looking for a tire and rim package for performance then you need the 15 x 7 or 15 x 8 with the 205 50 15 tires set up , thats what everyone is using because it provides a better grip and the tire sits flat , Myself personally i like a lot of lip and how i have my set up on the tires in minimal offset but when it comes to performance the tires arent there especailly around curves , but i have 195 55 15 , Those rims in the photo look like the konics i have , but again i had 20 offset and 205 wouldnt work for me cause the tire would sit to wide the minimul offset on the 195 gives me room to have the vehicle lowered

Thanks for your insight. I'm having a hard time deciding on 205 or 195. These rims are 8" so a typical tire width for 8" rim is 215. But, to ensure these clear my fenders, I will either be getting 205 which is what I had on my old 7" rims. 195 will definitely have a stretch look and I don't want to loose performance in corners. Such a tough decision...

My idea has always been to get the wheels and tires, and make the fenders fit. lol

Well if you stay with the standard 7 inch wheel then 205/50 is where you want to be , But if you do go 8 inch you have to flare the rear if your keeping the vehicle lowered but if you have coil over strut springs then you can ride high , flare minimal - The stretch on a 195 in small but like i said around corners , but I have a 4 point bar in the front under the car and a 2 point in the rear under the car and a 2 point under the hood that does help in handling , then of course tires are gonna make a difference in Z rated vs S,H,T rated - your gonna have to get Z or ZR rated tires cause those rubber compounds are made for speed not traveling or highway tire where there made for comfort - So if you do stay 195 then thats where your needing to look at is speed rating on tires

you mean offset like different size in the front than what's in the back or just the rim itself?
