Toyota better step up its game if it still want to still attract younger buyers. The new Honda Civic is coming and in all honesty, I have to admit, I like what I see. Plus, the Type R version will be finally offered in the US.

Well, the thing is, Corolla is a great car, but for some reason, they can't get it in there heads that if most of us are stuck buying a small compact car, and don't have $25K to spend on a car, at least give us one that still looks good and is a blast to drive, and doesn't break the bank. The Corolla "S" which supposedly means "Sport" means nothing. If all you get is an appearance package, but the same powertrain as everyone else...then what's the point???
Corolla gets it right every once in a while, but when they do, usually they are sold only overseas. Only twice when we had the earlier 4AGE 16V and then they had the 9th gen XRS version. The new Corolla looks good, and at least NOW you can get it with a proper 6 speed manual gearbox instead of a CVT, but honestly, If I had to choose where to spend my hard earned money to get the most driving enjoyment for my money, I just might take the new Civic over the Corolla in it's present comparison. Toyota needs to quit being lame and give us what we want or else.

Lmao - Your correct trife on that on the ranting part -
The new civic type R version is gonna be sold to the U.S. but what amazes me is this new type R version will not be modified for the U.S. it will be sold just as is euro-spec -
Toyota on the other hand went to a family based manufacture after they introduced Scion to the canada and U.S. only - Which is thier sport version of toyotas cause if you dont know over there the FRS here is the FT-86 or GT86 there - The TC is known as the Toyota Zelas or celica - The XB is known as a toyota Rukus or Corolla Rumion - Scion XA or XD is known as Toyota ist - Same as the Supra will be out in a Scion version for the U.S.
But I agree with you trife Toyota needs to step it up but over here in the U.S. and make a car to compete because to the civic but keep it in Toyota name here and not in scion to where we have to rebadge .
But thats why I love the 7th gen and the 6th gen cause you can easily do performance MODs to them
