I have a 89 GTS with a 4age stock motor and I am going to be replacing the clutch soon and just wondering what to you recommend. It's a daily driver and I like to get on it sometimes. Right now when I get high on the rpms and sink the clutch pedal to shift, it sounds like something is spinning and loose in the trans. Any thoughts on what that might be. I'm thinking it's time to replace clutch kit and possible flywheel............

thoughts on pedal feel? i ask b/c it can be a b*tch to drive a stage 3 in traffic with most brands out there. i got a spec stage 2 thats rated up to 212 ft-lbs...pedal feel is extremely close to stock feel but the grab is unmistakable.
btw i read theres an issue of extremely hard clutches causing the firewall to flex or stretch the cables and break cables but i dont think they even make clutches that strong for our cars(perhaps it could only b a v8 issue?)...

Thank for the info.......i will look into it and decide what i want to get......i live out in the country soo there isnt alot of traffic out here........the only time i hit any kind of traffic is when i go to miami or orlando areas, which is not very often. I want something that is gonna put the power where i need it........

Just an update on what's been going on with the clutch, well since i've started my new position in Lakeland, I have been putting some serious miles and the clutch has fully been broken in........it's nice to be able to put the power to the pavement again..............
