like the title says when i went to drive my car yesterday it made a loud clank sound when i put it into reverse any ideas whats causing this? it only does it in reverse car is a 1995 corolla.

it could be your transmission is going also do a visual inspection of the engine bay and under carriage for any damaged parts

well i checked out my car and all the mounts and both cv joints are shot i hope thats all thats wrong ill keep u guys posted if i find anymore problems

the clank when putting it into reverse is the front motor mount.....stop doing neutral bombs....

im not rocking an auto-tragic either......and your right , lesson learned. you need some kinda give in a highpowerdriveline , if not the weakest link is gonna give out. in his case its the motormounts , in mine it ws the clutch.

my 97 did it to and all it was, was the axels. i put new ones and it went away. Hope the same for you. $50 at meyers auto parts. That vegas prices My be a little derffent for you.
