alright so this is what im on now.i know i kind of was saying i was going to stop with the daily driver in part of modding it so that i can finish the brown car, but before i do that, im actually enjoying how much more respect im getting for running all motor, and just want to push the motor a little bit more.now not trying to do any internal work, unless i can buy the exhaust cams only(just to push the torque up higher), dont want to mess with the intake cam.anyways, ive been talking about going with the e85 for a while now with my tuner, im still serious about it, already have my 1jz injectors, the safc2 will be tuned with both settings 1 for e85 for driving normally, and the other setting for 93octane incase im far from an e85 gas station.anyways here are the last 2 things which have been making me search through google like crazy.
1.7afe headgasket on a blacktop to raise the compression- a couple peope that have done it say its safe on some forums, ppl that havn't done it say their scared to do it.seems like using a 7afe headgasket should put me near 11.4-1/11.5-1
2.Cam gears-can i use regular 4age 16v cam gear for my EXHAUST CAM GEAR. only exhaust, if it does ill buy the 4age 16 set just to use exhaust cam gear, if not ill just buy the 20v obx one and just use the exhaust side so i can tweak cam timing.
3.havn't gone on club4ag yet for the answer, but does any1 know the belt numbers or which to get for the belt drive that goes through the alternator
thank you guys, and hopefully with e85, hours of tweaking, this daily driven 20v can be in the range of 165whp-170whp!this should pushing the 14second range on the quater mile with a stock internal 20v--I love Hondas . then the true 7AGTE 1.9 20V BEAST CAN FINALLY BE AWAKEN and have the best of both worlds
