I know there is a way to stop the sound when its in reverse but im not sure how to do it. I read on one site that the Toyota dealer could do it to make it beep once. Its so annoying! Any one know how to stop it?

I never heard of that , Maybe someone hook up some kind of mechanism , Look for where the sound is coming out , find the speaker and remove the plug to it .

its like the seat belt beep rincon it comes from the gauge cluster but id leave the beep on so if/when you take the car to a shop they know their not in 1st if their supposed to be in reverse.

yea the GT-S celicas have that too, kinda like a safety feature. toyota shouldve just done the shifters the same VW makes them, where u have to push the shifter down to go into reverse i think that works better then a stupid beep

I kinda like the beep...why you ask? Cuz I got people who ride shotgun and when they hear that rapid beeping noise once I put it in reverse they immediately put on their seat belt. Kinda nice to have it. Haven't told anyone to put on their seat belts on for awhile now! hahah

Well I was wondering how to make it beep once really... If it's possible, I just read it can be done but couldn't find out how to. Yea people who ride in my car think it's the seat belt too. I just laugh at them.
