Okay so i don't wanna go against any post rules or if there is already a post asking what im finna ask then jus direct me there...anywayz, i am now interested in doing the engine swap for blacktop. However, i have no clue where to look. Plus my car is automatic..and im not sure if i will have to do a conversion..and if i sound like an idiot let meh kno haha. idk, jus some pointers would be nice. Also with one, can it pass emissions is US?

Well there is a member here that did a 20v swap and he went from auto to manual on his.

You can get a auto 20v if want to also get ready to spend some money the harness to get it modify is around 300 to 400 plus shipping also if you don't know wat you are doing don't try this with out doing some research on it first. But you can always do the 5 speed conversion me and wickedtoyz did it to 95rollas car.

Yes it will pass emissions just fine as long as the motor is newer than the car it's going in it's fine and you go black top you are good ... If you don't have any engine import places around you though you should look it up you can always buy from eBay probably cost you 1.5k for a complete blacktop then to convert to manual a few hundred the harness 300-400 and from there you are good to go

exactly...well im not sure if i wanna go fo the manual..chattanooga is not stick friendly. I jus need a reliable source to buy the engine from. My bro mentioned udt turbo charging the engine or whatever. Idk..i will probe have to pay someone to put it in. idk..im jus trie better my frizzing ed

Yeah well if your going boost buy a silver top those are boost friendly on low boost stock black top is probably not good for a rookie on boost

if you are planning on going boost then silver top is better but if your staying all motor then black top ... ebay if you dont have a local importer ... which you should have and also craigslist

I got mine from ebay, but the importer u can look up online is JDMimport.com. The silvertop will handle boost better and they are cheaper to di...I did a mnaual swap in mine...start collecting parts from a manual and it won't be so bad when u go to swap it in. I can list you the parts u need.

Check this out a 4AGZE with the 5spd attached.

And if you need any parts you can get it from local part stores
ie: timing belt, waterpump, distributor cap, gaskets

my car year is 1997..ima try and take some pics and show y'all my car. But furthermore, i believe i would enjoy doing a manual swap..but im kinda nervous about it. Also i would appreciate it if u listed the parts..it would be a big huge help. All of y'all have helped out significantly thank ya sooo much

if you're getting the BT, it comes either in matic or manual tranny...

if you're getting the ST, try to get a deal where you can get a BT ECU and MAP sensor instead... ST's AFM sucks big time...

if you need a full manual tranny conversion let me know, i got the 5spd tranny off my blacktop build, and parting out the whole car which i can send you all the pedals,linkages,shifter,etc that you need.we can work something out, but thats if your up for it
