Is the oil sender on a 1980 3tc required by the ecm to run? I want to install an after market mechanical guage but I don't want to have a "tree" sticking out of the side of my block. If it is required for operation, where is a good place to stab the new one? Also, mechanical temp guage, the stem is too long to put in the thermostat housing, any ideas? Thanks guys, this site rulzzzzz
