The Paseo cable is not plug and play for Blacktops,you have to relocate the bracket that is located on one of the throttle-body(middle one).I did manage to center the cable and put screws and nuts to secure it good.

yo, i know this is a super old thread ressurection but i figured its best that way. im lookin for the BEST option for throttle cable for 20v blacktop. is the 1zz better than this one www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,carcode,1274251,parttype,5892,d,1993_TOYOTA_CELICA_2.2L_L4_Accelerator_Cable.html its the one from the 1993 celica without cruise control(i dont need cruise control)

I've bought one (while on the Celica 6G forum they say it should work) and going to test it next week hopefully. I'm now busy with wiring. When that's done and i'm installing the engine i'll let you know.

The throttle cable is more then long enough, could have been shorter but i think i will put them together with the power steering tubes. The bracket has to be moved 1 step backwards, otherwise there wouldn't be enough tension on the cable. The pictures: The cable has been bought with rockauto.com! I think about $25 or so ex shipping.
