I need a throttle cable for my ST since it was cut when I got it.
Will a Tercel throttle cable work on this motor?

that wont work still to short. you need to find a FR corolla and get the cable off of that . when i did my throttlebody on my car my friend Mark got me a cable off of a sr5 rolla. you can also get it from the dealership.

^ that cable on egay looks too short. And the original cable will not wrok since the cable must hook up on the other side. (sice the AE111 is RHD. You can use a cable from a newer Corolla with a 1ZZ engine but the cable will pass over the first or second cylinder ITB. So I'm looking for one even longer. I've also heard some older style yota pickups have a really long cable. But I haven't confirmed it will work yet. Hope that helps

AE92 works, but is long, AE86 works perfect, also heard some people using the paseo cable as well. And goodluck at the stealerships, they wont have them, and if they do(when hell freezes over), its gonna be about $100

^ we have a few, but yea, there's hardly and I'm a regular at all three junkyards we have. Finding an AE86 will be impossible. I think I will go this weekend and will let y'all know what I find and what worked for me. What year Camry's do you think?

Went to the junk yard this weekend. And found 1 Paseo. Throtte cable won't work from it. But I did find something very very interesting about the Paseo. And I will do some more research before confirming it ;D Also I bought a cable that should work....with slight modification and it was on a later model Tercel. This cable is super long! Also picked up a PS reservoir while I was there from the same Tercel. The bolt pattern where the cable goes thru the firewall was slightly different, but I think I can work around this. Camry's was a no go...the cable is actually pretty short and runs into into the front to the shift selector on the tranny. Also some had the cruise control actuator box and the cable would run into it...then another cable going to the pedal. I didn't study the cables but they might not have even hooked up the same. I was looking for a similar connection like the Corolla where the cable comes off the TB and goes directly to the pedal. Also like I said earlier. I think some earlier Tacoma pick up's may work and I looked at a couple while I was there. But they still seemed a bit shorter than what I was looking for. Now for a couple pics... Stock 7AFE VS the Tercel cable Where the cable goes thru the firewall. There is also a bracket on mine for the accelerator pedal for the cruise control. I will try to keep the cruise control feature and make it work on the 20V And yes that valve cover in the background has been stripped of paint and will be getting new tube seals installed soon.
