My 07 Corolla has 95K miles on her. The past few days when I let the clutch out the car shudders/ shakes when I'm getting into first gear. Any idea what could cause this? The odd thing is it is fine until the very end of my clutch release. If I ride it a little I can get the car moving without the shudder then just as I let it out it shudders.

Sounds like time for clutch job, cause it could be ur throw out bearing or pressure plate has gotten weak, I know u dont have alot of miles but u got age. To replace any one part is not worth it just do a complete clutch replacement....

Yepper!!! I took the car to my friend who is a mechanic today. He will be installing a new clutch. OUCH!!! $1k!!! Sure beats what the cheapest shop was going to charge, $1700. It was a warped preasure plate. There goes my fun $$$.
