Has anyone had success with making their own custom chassis braces? Aside from the front upper strut brace, what is available for the 8th generation corolla? It is said that the suspension in the 8th generation corolla is the same as the 7th. There seems to be several options on ebay for bracing from one company called "Ultraracing". Anyone tried it? Are they bolt-on or complete customizations?
Also please, anyone give me some input on their success with using chassis bracing in their toyota.
also, roll cages?

So far I'm using the cheap 40 dollar ebay strut brace, very good product I experienced a huge difference. I bought the universal floor bar and it actually didn't fit! Don't buy the cheap 55-65 dollar floor bar, probably better off going ultra racing. I ended up giving it to my friend who has a EJ6 1998 civic DX hatchback and he ended up welding it into his car because the thing broke when I tried to install it. It works great for him. Next I want to buy the 4 pt ultra racing rear stut brace which looks awesome, from the pictures it's clear to me the thing is a direct bolt on, I may need to remove the hardware for the seat releases, but I plan on keeping my seats in in the long run so after the install that needs to be put a back on. I hope it comes with bolts and nuts to install, anyone one know this? After that I would like the 4 point lower front bar that goes from the lower control arms to the chassis, before installing that I will do my final motor mount which is under the motor. Next will come the lower rear bar. At the same level of importance of the bars I would like to replace my damping system. I am from massachusetts, with the roads so torn up here from the use of salt, it is not really practical to lower the car more than an inch of two. Has anyone had experience using quick struts? It is certainly the cheapest on ebay 270$ for all around struts springs and top hats per-assembled for easy install. I have a short budget so my other option would be to buy the struts, shocks, and tophats seperately and hope all the spring rates make for a good ride. (And that will cost $100 more) OR is it really worth it to go full coilover suspension for $500-1000?? For that price idk if it would be better to save it and get another car

check out www.noicsgarage.com/ for the ultra racing parts, good friend of mine and he offers great prices, also as for the coilovers, they are soooo worth every penny because you can drop exactly how low you need it which would be good for the salty roads as you mentioned and you can stiffen up or basically tune your ride exactly how you want. Remember you get what you pay for so if you cheap out then it will cheap out on you. I personally love my 8 gen and I wouldn't dare get another ride for while but that is something you have to decide on otherwise gl with your decision man

Alot depends on how much you want to spend and the look you are going for , If your going non body kit then lowering springs would be good , As far as custom chassis , Your 8th gen comes equipped with some , You have a lower center one by the down pipe so when you add the ebay upper one your front is stable , As far as the four point I have seen people make those and you can find them cheap on ebay , Your really paying for a name brand . Full coil overs are great when you have a body kit and those you can find ksports or another name brand for under $1000 .
I know pedro has one 4 point in the back of his corolla but his isa car show car , If your just doing it for show it can be expensive hobby , If your road course racing like I said you can make those , But other then fun lowering springs offset wheels and your good to go !!
