I have a 1991 corolla sedan 4A-FE and I want to convert it to manual. Driving automatic is just no fun. Please help if you or someone you know has manual transmission along with everything needed to convert it!!! Prefered arround Central Florida. Also if anyone has converted to manual before give me some info as to how much work and etc... Thanks!!!

oh man thans swap. i think i might know a guy but ill have to ask if he has another transmission i bought mines from him. he said it was rebuilt so 0 miles and he was right so far so good no transmission problems. but umm its not too many parts i guess. need the clutch pedal assembly, the clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder. you'll need the shifter assembly with shift cables and the shift cable bushings. other than that, that should be it. besides bolts and a drill to drill through firewall. nothing with plug ins. obviously the flywheel and the clutch and clutch disc, release bearing and clutch fork. the only thing i never figured out was how to make the reverse lights turn on during reverse but i dont think its that important

i did a 5speed swap recently in car it was pretty much straight foward not that hard to be honest this was my first 5speed swap ive done on my own switch shifters drilled a hole in the firewall for clutch master cylinder mount the clutch and the brake pedals
on my car the axles and mounts were the same as automatic i there was only 1 modification i had to do to the wiring on the plug on the auto tranny u need a plug off of a manual tranny (red& red/blue stripe)match the wires an splice thants for your reverse lights and also need to connect two wires for the saftey switch without it your wont start on my car they are on the same auto tranny plug (black &black/white stripe)
