im in question. since i dont plan on going boost..atleas no time in the near future. would it still be worthwhile putting the silvertop rods in? i currently have a great deal with some and was wondering would they be worth it since they are a little stronger. Also is anyone on here familiar with toda cams and pistons and such? i plan on doin some of these minor upgrades...would i still be able to keep vvt? how does all that work? i guess overall. besides headers and all that..what are the other "basic" worthwhile mods that are safe for the engine. im not too informative on the engine as far as what it can handle and do but i know some of you are. a little advice would be gracious

A pulley kit a good set of headers trumpets with a similar set up that Scott has ... Tune it with bigger injectors after market fuel pump shave the exhaust and intake ports ... If you want to get more serious than aftermarket computer shaved head built motor ... I would say keep the same compression just buy forged pistons

Yes the cam will disable Vvt so it's best not to change unless you are going fully built
