So I think the only way that my issue would be understood to get the best answer is if I fully explain it y'all. I was looking through the already open threads and saw one close but not really the same thing. So without further holdup let's get into this.
So one day my friend and I went to Tampa to go check out this '81 Datsun 280zx that we were gonna buy and rebuild. So now on the way back I'm going down I-4 racing whoever wants to and then I'm trying to keep up with wrx. (Keep in mind my rolla is the 4 speed automatic with overdrive). So to keep up with the wrx I was weaving in an out of traffic and to get my car to downshift quicker I was turning my overdrive on and off quite often. So I gave up on the wrx and got offon exit 22 which is like 15-17 miles from my house, and right after I got off I stopped at a stop light and then at that light I got the O/D off light flashing at me on and off. But my O/D was already on. and from then on my car wouldn't shift past 3500 rpm. Sometimes it would but once it went past that the O/D off light would flash on and off forever. Not too long after that my original alternator died. I replaced it and then that SEEMED to have fix the problem, as if the transmission wasn't getting enough power. But the other day I accidentally hit the O/D button when putting my car is reverse. So as a result of that my car won't shift past 4000 rpm but I don't get the O/D off light flashing anymore... So I'm absolutely lost. I didn't think it would be the speed sensor because my speedo reads fine.. I don't know, and because of that issue my car has absolutely NO POWER at all. From zero I put my foot all the way down on the pedal and get nothing. And now my redline is literally 4000 rpm. I put up a video on youtube to help y'all help me understand what to do.
