Ok basically it's a question I have a ae101 with a 4af engine manual, and if I wanted to go 60 mph in a highway I have to push it until 3100 rpms on the 5th gear, my question is is that normal do you guys have to rev the engine like that just to go 60. Because y have had other cars and it wasn't like that only with going 2000 to 2500 I was driving at 60 or 65 Thanks.

Thanks for the info rincon but I actually don't know which serie it's under the hood. but i know that maybe it's not the best option do you know which one will be better? This corolla it's my daily drive and my intention isn't to race it but I just want it to get at a highway speed easier not 3000+ rpm, I feel like I have to press the engine to much.

Well I have a Black top 5 speed in my 7a motor and the revs are longer , On third gear I was at 60 which scared me but I was told that in the tranny I had was a C60 - But usually 4th gear got me around town and felt ballsy

The transmission code is usually on the Vin sticker on the door jam

That's what I'm talking about 60 on the third gear means that the car it's going to be really smooth on the 4th and 5th gear do you think that that transmission would fit on my 4af or I will have to make some mod

And 7thgen7a thank you so much I will check that on the sticker but I don't think that this one it's the original tranny cause on the registration papers I can see a different engine or block serial # so I cannot trust on the sticker any more
