Passenger side wasn't sealing off completely, had to get a custom size seal. I got the seal and got it installed so for now, I think I got the passenger side solved. But, driver side is also leaking. May have to do the same. Hopefully I can work on it some Saturday to investigate further.
Finally got it all together!!!!!! Test drove it Saturday. All I can say is the 20V is made for the 6 speed. And with those stiffer motor mounts and the light weight flywheel, this thing feels so much more quick! Every time I shifted into the next gear, the power band is right where you want it!
I threw on my friend Marlon's steelies he had laying around so I could give it a test run it so this is how it sits until I get my rims. I had a couple minor issues with the brakes feeling spongy so I need to bleed them. Also the front brake rotor dust shield came loose and started rubbing. So far that was the only problem. Ordered my A/C compressor...again... Also still have to get my windshield, inspection sticker, registration, insurance and all that. Once it's officially legal, I will get some video runs.
crappy test video. I apologize in advance for not revving to 9K RPM and also not shifting through all the gears. Currently, I have no license plate, no registration, and no insurance so I was being per-cautious.
Yea, tbh, I think 6th gear is mostly just made for cruising the hwy. But compared to the 5 speed, here is the ratios. 1st gear is the same, 2nd is a little shorter along with 3rd, 4th, and 5th. But not a huge difference. But driving it, I can tell you is a noticeable difference from the 5 speed. Soon I will get it legal so I can run it on the Hwy and get a better video of all the gears.

So, finally got my registration, license plate and insurance so I drove it last week to work for the first time. Dropped it off to get my new windshield so I can attempt to get it inspected. When I went and picked up the car, they said they had to replace the seal for the glass, which is pretty much what I expected anyway, but it's nice to have a nice new windshield on the car. It was funny how they went through the trouble to transfer my old expired inspection sticker to my new windshield...not sure the point of that but anyway :nerd:
So when I went and picked up the car, he proceeds to tell me that when they moved my car out the shop, it had a bad leak :surprise:
My first thoughts were the stupid CV shaft seals again. But it turned out I didn't tighten the power steering line up all the way, so needless to say, I was pretty relieved about that.
Also, I decided to make a custom mount for the Ambient Air Temp Sensor that normally mounts in your stock air filter box. I bought a grommet and drilled the hole in the filter adapter plate where it was safe to mount it.
Also replaced the hardware for the trumpets since the older bolts almost stripped when I went to remove them.
And I replaced the air filter wing nuts with some better ones. The old ones used those stupid locking washers that you ruin every time you remove them and plus, they didn't seem like the right size for the holes.
So you can see the sensor looks like it was supposed to be there. Wanted to look stock so I like how it came out. Going to try and get my inspection done tomorrow
Battle Garage, this setup is more for AE86 since it's easier to install on RWD setups. It's a little tight trying to get the filter on and off at times. But, once on, it's good and serves me well. Plus the filter is washable.

I'm talking about the plate , the ITB trumpets for a black top are different and that guy from new zealand can get them , he even said that if you put the smaller ones you are starving the flow thats why I'm going to get the correct ones for mine , but that plate I do want
The plate and filter both came from the same place. The plate is made for the filter but they do sell them separate. Did you go look at the web link I posted?
So anyhow, I finally upgraded my hoses, the old ones were probably the original hoses so it was a good time to do this. Plus I like how the match the battery perfectly. I have been running the car this last month with just water so I also went ahead and flushed it and added the antifreeze.
Also after getting another a/c compressor from the same seller on eBay, I was done. The second time around, he sent the wrong one. So I sent it back. Thankfully he gave me my money back but it was a BIG waste of time. I finally went to the junkyard and found one, stocked it up, and put it on. And I saved about $75.
While I was there, they had another Corolla parked outside with some real balls!!!! Look close!
