The drivers side is the same part # from Toyota...in other words the JDM # is the same as the USDM #....so if u want the same quality all you have to do is go to your local Toyota dealer...and buy one...but get ready to drop almost $500 from the dealer

Good news, the RAV4 axle is a match...now the bracket thats in the middle, you have to remove a snap ring, then, seperate the bracket. It hard to tell, but the bracket is two pieces that make one. once you seperate the two, u will have part of the bracket thats pressed onto the bearing. I had to use our press to press the axle shaft bearing out of the bracket. But the new one should seat pretty easy without putting it back in the press. Now, the new shaft comes with a new bearing so...man I'm happy about this....this will work a lot better then the stock 7AFE axle. Mostly due to the fact that the intermediate shaft helps with torque steer. So this will halp alot when it comes to acceleration. I will post some pics later ;D It was a good thing too cause that bearing was wore slap out!

Yessir!!!! 98-99 RAV4 2WD AUTOMATIC with or without ABS depending on if your Corolla has ABS or not. It doesn't matter if you are running a manual tranny in your corolla. You have to request the AUTOMATIC trans when ordering them or it won't be right

need some help from fellow ccc-members, im about to go to work, i ordered this 7thgen axle online and installed it yesterdya but the piece of shit didn't go in right, was the same exact everything as the jdm axle but didnt work.it got stuck on me twice so i had to go to the auto parts and loan the master pullerkit, after 4 bangs it finally came out.the issue is i think the shaft seal is now leaking on the c160 6spd on the driver side from taking it off and prying so much, im also just going to rebuild the axle instead, SO IF ANY1 HAS TIME CAN YOU SEARCH ME WHAT PART NUMBER SHAFT SEAL DOES FIT THE DRIVER SIDE ON THE C160, I already tried 4age and it didnt work its much bigger than that, and also ANY AXLE REBUILDING SHOPS NEAR 33068 FORT LAUDERDALE AREA?PLEASE THANK YOU.

alright so found a place here in fort lauderdale called all axle in., some asian dude hes doing mine right now, i brought both the 7afe and the jdm 20v axle, when he took a good look at it told me that the reason why its not fitting the 6spd tranny is because the splines are thinner, while the other ones are thicker still being same axle and same number of splines and all. im guessing they do fit the 5spd since hollywoodcorolla but as far as the c160, its better to just rebuild it. and as far as the issue with the shaft seal, i went to the auto parts store to match it up and tried the corolla xrs 6spd one, as soon as the pic showed up it looked just like the 4age 16 tranny small ones, so i asked him to see if i can see a couple of them to see if maybe i can match it up with another toyota tranny, but when he brought it out, it was the one i was looking for, looked nothing like the picture they had on the computer. so as far as the driver side seal where the axles go in, for the c160 you use the same seal as the 05 corolla xrs.part number

not really bro, just busted the boot and splashed all over the place, i just wanted to replace it before it starts clunking, but what gave me the big issue was the day before yesterday that it would get stuck and keep bending the lock pin.im just glad i got the right seal now, just awaiting for the guy to give me a call to come pick it up.

I didn't think the 5 speed and 6 speed were different??? Something seems funny about that. But glad you got it worked out. What had to be repaired on the axle? The splines on the tranny side? Or did it just need a new "c" ring?

chiko i remember seeing a gze motor in the junkyard and it's axles were similar to a camry v6. you think the camry v6 axles may work on your 6spd? or even on the 5spd? they can hold alot more power than the rolla ones and can be unbolted too

he said theyw wernt too damage, he was able to buff out the bearings, regreased everything up, and added a new boot which was the main reason why it was collecting dirt.
