Good question.....and Pedro is right. The answer is def no. For a couple reasons....The passenger side is a two-piece shaft and I don't think the length of the 7AFE shaft is long enough. And even if it is, I heard that people run into issues with the exhaust down pipe not clearing the shaft. The 20 valve shaft comes straight out....then angles down to the axle hub where the the 7AFE axle is at a straight angle towards the axle hub.
Also the torque of the 20V may ruin the stock shafts rather quickly.
The driver's side shaft may fit and work. But I'm not for certain. I'm currently searching for shafts to be custom made or purchased.

find some oem axles...check the same people that source the engines. Or you will need them custom made.

not all of which is true...stock 7a 5sp axles DO work with the 20v 5speed tranny. I know because im using the bt 20v tranny with my 7afe 5speed axles. the two tranny's are exactly identical from the sensors to the locations of the bolt holes. the only difference i cant confirm is the gears which i've heard to be different. autos and their axles may be different. im also using the stock 20v downpipe and my axle doesnt touch even with vehicle in the air...no issues so far though i dont plan to keep these for long as they're not made to handle 20v power...BUT, as long as you to try to break the tires all the time, im confident the 7a shafts will hold up.

The gearing in the trans between the afe and 20V are way different. The afe trans is based on economy and have taller(3.88) gearing. The 20V 5speed and GTS Corollas have 4.30 gears which is tighter gearing for high rpm NA engines. But for a turbo setup, the afe trans is good if rebuilt with better synchros and LSD. That said, how much for your stock afe trans Marlon? Lol

Also, I can get custom axles made or even get your stocks rebuilt. So if you have 20V axles needing rebuilt or need custom axles, let me know when and only you got the cash and then I will set it up. I no longer set things up for people with pipe dreams............I am not gonna lose money over some losers who can't pay up when parts are ordered and ready. Lol

Does that gearing issue also apply to a/t trans too? Since I can't find a mounting bracket to fit the trans that cane with my 20v I was gonna throw the a/t trans that was on my 4afe. I'm prob gonna buy an exedy stage two clutch for it before I slap it on but just wanna make sure there aren't any issues I should know about? Thx

Thx a/t's use torque comverters not clutches...and ive never really heard of performance torque converters existing for any fwd cars(except hondas..those piss ants have racing everything from engine crap to performance seat stitching)...but i have heard about sending a stock converter somewhere and having it rebuilt

I don't play with autos, so I never even bothered looking up specs for them.

Ok thx green. I'll look into that for the converter. But I still need to know about the axles, is it the same issue with an a/t? Can I use the fe axles with an a/t or am I going to have to get them custom? ?

honestly dont know but its likely...when the motors in jus try your old ones and see if they fit...kindof what i did with my ge m/t(but i did notice before hand that the fe and ge 5sp look exactly the same when they were side by side).

Thanks for clearing that up Marlon...I was sure they were different, but I was wrong. As far as the A/T...I do know the Corolla stock axles are still the same for A/T and M/T. You can call any parts house and the part number will be the same. Only difference is if you have ABS or not. So it prolly will still work on the A/T.
Also, Danny, I have a M/T still from a 4AFE Prizm if your interested. I will be in touch soon on some decent axles and getting my harness situation straight. But like you said...you will have cash in hand first.
But back to the topic...I did call a company called Raxles.com to see what they have. The guy told me they use heavier duty parts when they rebuild the stock axles so it will be better than OEM. He quoted me $130 per axle. Not a bad price, cheaper than OEM, and better than what you would get from your local parts stores.
