YES THE AXLES WILL WORK THE AUTO AND MANUAL AXLES SHOULD BE THE SAME THEY WILL WORK ON 20V TRANNY. I PERSONALLY HAVE RAN THEM ON MY CAR AND THEY FIT GOOD ON THE OTHER HAND TOYOTA DIDNT MAKE THESE AXLES TO HANDLE OVER 110HP SO I EVENTUALLY WENT THRU 3 DIFFERENT PAIRS UNTIL I PURCHASED THE ORIGINAL 4AGE 20V AXLES....IM SORRY IF SOMEONE ALREADY STATED THIS BUT I DIDNT WANT TO GO THROUGH ALL 4PAGES ;D

INSERT FOOT INTO MOUTH Ok, so I messed up, upon installing this shaft from the RAV4, turns out the inboard splines (from the shaft to the trans) DO NOT mesh So, now back to square one....in fact, I went back to toyodiy to research again. I did everything right....but I also noticed that the part number description says "outboard joint", which btw...DOES work with the Corolla axle hub...tested and 100% guaranteed. And the axle does come with the intermediate bearing just like the stock 20V axle. But still not sure what I'm going to do about the splines on the inboard side. Inboard spline count should be 23 for the Corolla Inboard spline count on the RAV4 auto is 20 Inboard spline count on the RAV4 manual is 24 So I checked it both ways and still, no luck I'm thinking of getting an axle from the junk yard and see if a local place can cut and weld the correct splines onto my RAV4 shaft. It's alot of work but I've already gone this far so....sorry for the big let down every 1...I thought I had this problem figured out. If I come up with something better, I'll be sure to let you know

yessss, not to be an ass, but atleast i know someone going through my trouble.thats how i felt the day i was trying to put in corolla axle into a 6spd, it was different and gave me hell for a whole day.and i didnt have to get it welded, near my house is an axle shop where dude just transfered everything with a different hub and made it work n put a new boot on for like 60bucks

damn chiko....yea, must be nice to have access to all those 20V parts and shops where I "used" to live lol...but yea, I'm not giving up yet....I got plenty of connections here too. It just might take me a while before I can exhaust all possibilities and definitely say this is an alternative feasable way of doing it....or say fuk it....just get custom axles like mindbeats said lol

Or just go on eBay trife. I've seen the 20v axles for like $130.

please do, looks like I'm stuck....anyone who has even jus part of the axle shaft coming out of the transmission, you can EASILY swap it to the RAV4 axle....even if it's cut..as long as it passes the intermediate bearing and is cut between the bearing and the axle hub...it will work.
I had it...and scrapped it...someone shoot me plezz!!!!!!!

Yeah stock ones work fine if your 5 speed I've had mine forever and if they get messed up which they shouldn't they have warranty for life plus they can handle a good amount my boy was running a 75 shot on his 1zz which he was making more than 200whp because he was beating full bolt on kpro rsx's and he raced that car constantly never had a axel issue ... And the 1zz axel from the 8th gen is the same from a manual a series motor

Yeah you would need manual axels and for the brackets I'm not sure but if you can find the part number on toyodiy you can put that number on google and it will come out for sale ... I will keep a look out for you when I hit up the junk yards

alright guys i just read all four pages and i am still stuck lol. i got a 94 corolla manual with a silvertop 20v and i have the stock axle of the driver side and the 20v axle on the passenger side. i dont know y but every time i turn my steering jerks from side to side and it sounds like the axle is going to come out. Can someone help me out to figure out y its doing this? the mechanic said that the 20v axle is too long. Is he right, or he just dont know what he is talking about?
